  • What are the income levels, racial make-up, educational levels demographics in our community and what can we learn from this to help us minister to them?
  • Who are we really trying to serve or reach in our community?
  • What age groups are represented in our community and how does this impact how we serve them or who serves them?
  • Do we have the proper teams to minister to our specific communities?
  • Where do people live in our community and how do we reach them?
  • What are the specific characteristics of our communities and how can this help us understand and minister to them better?

“Tapestry” is a market segmentation system built from using a large, well-selected array of attributes of demographic and socioeconomic variables to identify numerous unique consumer markets throughout the U.S.  Tapestry details are based on 2021 US Census data. Read More

“Segments” reflect demographic shifts over the last decade to established consumer markets, as well as the emergence of new markets due to population growth, demographic and socioeconomic change and transforming consumer behavior. Reflecting the diversity among American neighborhoods, Tapestry includes 67 distinct market segments.

When you open the “Tapestry Profile” file you will see listed the top three segments for each parish territory or Family is seen in the bottom right corner of the infographic.  A five-page detail description for each segment listed can be found in the Tapestry Segments folder below.  You can also access these descriptions by visiting this link.  Links for each possible segment are listed midway down the web page as part of the LifeMode descriptions.

LifeMode groups represent markets that share a common experience—born in the same generation or immigration from another country, for example—or a significant demographic trait, such as affluence. Tapestry segments are classified into 14 LifeMode groups.

When you open the “Tapestry Profile” file you will see the LifeModes listed along the left side of the infographic.
